One of the most transformative coaching skills, as outlined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), is Core Competency 7: Evokes Awareness. This competency is about helping clients uncover new insights, reframe their perspectives, and challenge their assumptions in order to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
It’s not about delivering answers on a silver platter. It’s about asking the kinds of questions that make clients see what was hiding in plain sight—leading to those game-changing “aha!” moments that shift perspectives and open new possibilities.
